The poll that I am telling you about is at the bottom of the page when you clik on the link because the thing wouldn't let me upload the image this time.
This is the second Gallup Poll that I have posted so far.
This one is about who voted for which candidate between independent voters.
As you can see, back in the beginning of April independent voters were leaning more towards McCain than they were to Obama.
In the middle of April McCain took a spike for the worst. The independent voters started to vote more towards the democratic side than the republican.
For about the whole month of May McCain stayed on top of Obama.
From the middle of May to the beginning of June, McCain stayed strong ahead Obama. This is because the Republican National Convention was around this time and he became more popular than Obama during this time.
Once the Republican National Convention ended, Obama found himself on top of McCain in the running for the White House.
He stayed on top until about the end of July when McCain suddenly took a small spike in popularity.
For about the whole month of July, during the Democratic National Convention, Obama stayed over 5% more popular with the independents than McCain did.
For the next month it stayed a very tight race with Obama always slightly on top of McCain.
In the beginning and middle of September McCain had a spike in popularity. He was at least 7% more popular than Obama for a whole month. As October got closer Obama was once again ahead in the race.
As time went on Obama got increasingly more popular than McCain and by the end of October Obama now has a 7% lead on McCain with the independent voters.
In case you didn't know..........Independent voters are people who consider themselves neither a democrat nor a republican.
